Title: ‘Hunted’
Oil color painting on canvas seizes 60 x 80cm / 31.5" x 23.6"inch signed 2007 Original title "Gejaagd" : Technique. Sometimes I wonder why I am still bothering working in a traditional way these days? With all the new digital possibilities. But sometimes I realize why I am still doing it, and the end result makes it worth will. The intenseness of the color of the dress is in no other way expressed so well than with old fashion oil colors. : Theme. The basic idea fore this painting I got working on an other painting “Bullseye” in witch I work with the same theme. Based on the theme good and bad. Symbolized in a innocent child being hunted. In bulls eye I made the child aware of the danger and moving away from the target. In “Hunted” I made the innocent child unaware that she is hunted but made it curious playing with the arrows. While pint down on the target. In an desolate hostile landscape. Daily DeviationGiven 2008-06-05"Beautiful colours and attention to detail. The dress shines out like some renaissance icon."
